Port Allen, LA - Whitley Darrell Ehrett, lifelong resident of Port Allen, LA passed away peacefully surrounded by family, friends and nursing staff at St. Francisville Nursing and Rehab on August 21, 2026, at the age of 76. He retired from Water Management Technologies after many years of service. Whitley had a great love and devotion to his Catholic faith and especially to The Blessed Virgin Mary. He said the Rosary many times each day and attended daily Mass at St. Agnes and Our Lady of Mercy. May Jesus, the Blessed Lady, all the angels and saints welcome him into heaven. Whitley is survived by his sisters, Dawn Ehrett Pollet (Russell), and Kelly Ehrett Arrington (Wallace "Bo"); nieces, Sarah Dawn Pollet, Amanda Mae Arrington Coccari (Thomas); nephews, Geoffrey Joseph Pollet (Alma), Jarrod Paul Pollet (Gabby), Wallace "Trey" Arrington, III (Erica); five great nieces; two great nephews; and numerous cousins. Preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Bernice Ehrett and nephew, John Louis Pollet. Special thanks to his caregivers and friends, Hedi Stuchbery and Donna Barchmam, Ginger Duhon and John Gable, Whitley's personal friends for many years, St. Francisville Nursing Home and staff, caregivers, physical therapists, and gentiva Hospice for the love, support and empathy shown to Whitley and our family. Whitley was loved by family and friends and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer's Association. A memorial visitation will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, Port Allen on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 10am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am, celebrated by Father Jerry Martin.
