Virginia A. Major passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at her home. She was born in Glynn, Louisiana, on November 6, 1925. Virginia obtained an accounting degree from LSU in 1946, following which she became a Certified Public Accountant. She was an original partner in Posthlewaite Netterville from which she retired after a long and successful career. Funeral services will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2025 Stuart Ave., Baton Rouge, LA 70808 on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Father Allelo will officiate. Visitation will be at St. Aloysius prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will be held in Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of Rabenhorst Funeral Home.
