Victor Joseph Poirrier Jr. Obituary

Prairieville, LA - A lifelong resident of Prairieville, Louisiana, Victor Joseph Poirrier, Jr. passed away on November 28, 2025. He was born on February 26, 1939, to Stella Jumonville Poirrier and Victor Poirrier.

Vic proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a dedicated 50-year Freemason with the New River Grand Lodge. He retired as an Instrument Technician from the Motiva Refinery in Convent, Louisiana. Vic had a passion for planning family vacations, camping, woodworking, crossword puzzles, and repairing anything that family or friends brought his way.

Vic was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Murray, John Ray, and Herman Poirrier; sister, Mary Kling; son-in-law, Richard; and great-grandson, Brody Bullion.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Betty Daigle Poirrier; daughters, Becky Bullion and Vicki Pellette (Jerry); sons, Brett Poirrier (Maria) and Kenneth Poirrier (Brandi); 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70816. A service will follow in the Resthaven Chapel, with Military Honors and burial in the Garden of Honor section.
