Plaquemine, LA - Tommy Robertson passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, October 6, 2025, at the age of 73. He was a retired operator with Shell Chemical Geismar; resident and native of Plaquemine, LA. Visitation will be held at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 5 to 9pm and will resume on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 9am until religious services at 11am, celebrated by Pastor Andy Ardoin. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. Tommy is survived by his wife of 23 years, Janice Bourgeois Robertson; children, Chad Robertson and wife Anna, Jamie Bickham and husband Clint; grandchildren, Bailey, Cadence and Chance Robertson, and Hunter and Ruth Bickham; stepchildren, Glenn Landry and wife Sheryl, Jessica Sabatier and husband Paul, and Justin Jarreau and wife Charlie; and step-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his granddaughter, Abigail Robertson; and parents, Archie and Ruth Robertson. Tommy was a 1970 Plaquemine High School graduate and a 1976 Nicholas State University graduate where he received a bachelor's degree. At the beginning of his career, he worked for Shell Oil in White Castle. Tommy enjoyed hunting and was a founding member of Indian Village Hunting Club. He also enjoyed fishing at his Grand Isle camp "Daddy's Dream." Tommy had a passion for helping anyone and everyone, especially his family and friends. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of White Castle. Special thanks to his sitters; Sharon Bosley, Constance Snell, and Angela Williams for their loving care and devotion.
