Prairieville, LA - Thomas "Mike" Michael Martin, 78, of Prairieville, Louisiana, passed away February 13, 2026.

Born October 21, 1947, in Sterling, Illinois, Mike moved to Louisiana in 1971 with his beloved wife, Diane Lynn Martin (Olson), who preceded him in death.

Mike proudly served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1971, including service in Vietnam. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with four Bronze Service Stars, and Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device.

He worked as a stockbroker before building a career in the transportation industry, most recently with L&B Transport, where he valued his work family.

Mike loved sports, especially Notre Dame, LSU, the New Orleans Saints, the Green Bay Packers, and the Chicago Cubs.

He is survived by his daughter, Amber Lynn Douglas, and granddaughter, Emma McKenzie Douglas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane, and his parents, William "Bill" Martin and Constance "Connie" Martin.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 9:00-11:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m., at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., Baton Rouge, LA 70802.

The last two years without Diane were the hardest of his life. We find comfort knowing they are reunited.
