Sylvia Thibodeaux Gill, 83 years old, beloved Mother and Grandmother, was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She entered this world on December 14, 1941, born to Lillian and Sydney Thibodeaux, in Bunkie, LA. She was a longtime resident of Baker, LA and a parishioner of St. Isidore Catholic Church. Sylvia retired from BellSouth after 30 years of service to her community. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and had a great passion for gardening and a love for Cajun music and dancing. Sylvia is survived by her loving son's; Gary Gill and Gerald Gill; a daughter, Becky Arnold (Larry); grandchildren, Danielle Gill Guidroz, Grant Gill, Chancely Arnold, and Chad Arnold; great-grandchildren, Tripp Gaudet, Bronson Guidroz, Jadelyn, Gunnar and Bowen Gill; and a brother, Sidney Thibodeaux, Jr. (Linda). Sylvia is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey T. Gill; father, Sidney Thibodeaux, Sr.; mother, Lillian Marcotte Thibodeaux; and son, Gregory Wayne Gill. Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Gill, Gerald Gill, and Grant Gill, Larry and Chad Arnold, Tripp Gaudet and Bronson Guidroz. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Dr. Elizabeth Curtis, the staff, nurses and CNA's at Old Jefferson Community Care Center, Clarity Hospice, and Dr. Miletello's office for their compassionate care. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Monday, April 14, 2025, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Deacon Tommy Benoit. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
