Baton Rouge, LA - "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day" - 2 Timothy 4:7-8
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Sherrie Badie, who went home to be with the Lord on July 27th at 9:30pm. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family.
Sherrie was born November 14, 1953 in Baton Rouge, LA where she lived for 72 years. She was a loving mother, devoted wife, friend, and active member of her church, Grace Life Fellowship. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Woodrow Badie, her children Jaimie Badie, Esther Badie, Deborah Badie, and Jacob Badie, bonus son LaWoodrow Badie, bonus daughter Carlisa Brooks, grandson Camdyn Badie, brother Kenneth Dixon, and a host of neices and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Soforia Dixon, brother Willie Dixon Jr., sister Joyce Flowers, son Jeremy Nelson Badie, and nephews Darryl Jack and Rodney Jack.
Sherrie showed kindness and empathy to everyone she met. She was a true example of Jesus' commandment to love your neighbor and will be sorely missed. Services will be held August 7, 2026 at Hall Davis and Sons, 9384 Scenic Hwy, Baton Rouge. Visitation: 8-9 am, Funeral Services: 9-10:30 am, Internment at Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary, LA.
