Ruth Vallet Fabre, a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of New Roads, Louisiana celebrated her 100th Birthday on December 14, 2025. She died on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. Visiting at St. Augustine Church, 807 New Roads Street, New Roads, on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 from 9:45 a.m. until recitation of the rosary at 10:15
a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at the church at 11:00 a.m. with her nephew, The Most Reverend Shelton J. Fabre, Archbishop of Louisville, celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery. She is survived by a son, Joseph C. Fabre and his wife Marion of New Roads, three daughters, Cheryl F. Luc of Seven Lakes, North Carolina, Paula K. Fabre of Baton Rouge, and Karen F. Bryant and her husband D'Orsay D. Bryant III, MD, of El Dorado, Arkansas. She was the grandmother of eight grandchildren, Jeffery U. Darensbourg, PhD, Nicole Moncrieffe (Keith), Brandi F. Boone (Jonathan), Codi Fabre (Miranda), D'Orsay D. Bryant, IV. and Carter Bryant (Haley), eight great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Clifton Fabre, parents Philip Vallet, Sr. and Flora DeCuir Vallet, son-in-law, Rickie Luc, three sisters, her twin, Ruby Brunious, Mary Gammon, and Theresa Fabre,: two brothers, Philip Vallet, Jr., and Lester Vallet, Sr. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may to St. Augustine Church of New Roads, La. A. Hamilton Platinum Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
