Baton Rouge, Louisiana - Russell "Wayne" Efferson passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the age of 82, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was born on September 7, 1943, to Russell and Edries Efferson. Wayne was an accomplished business owner of Country Time Clocks, where he created quality products for his customers. In addition to his professional success, Wayne proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was a man of many hobbies. He loved to golf, fish, and hike, and was a member of The Island Golf Course. Above all, Wayne loved spending time with his friends and family. Wayne is survived by his loving spouse of 58 years, Betty Efferson; children, Angelique Panepinto (Bobby), and Sean Efferson (Lorri Lagerbloom); sister, Pam Ricks (Will); his cherished grandchildren, Nathan Panepinto, Abby Panepinto, and Dylan Efferson; great-granddaughter, Sophia Panepinto; and niece, Jenny Ricks. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Russel Keith Efferson and Edries Saltzman Efferson. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Resthaven Funeral Home, located at 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, with services to start at 3:00 PM. A reception will follow the service at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the Hematology Oncology Clinic and Oncology Infusion Center for their support during this difficult time.
