Port Allen, LA - Roy Joseph "Lil Roy" Daigle, Jr. was born to Roy Joseph Daigle, Sr. and Mary May Daigle on May 4,1964 and peacefully entered eternal rest on June 13, 2025, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. Roy was a lifelong resident of Port Allen. As the first grandchild of Leonce and Emma Theriot Daigle and the first godchild of Mildred C. Daigle, he maintained a very special place in the family's heart. Roy was a very loving, devoted, and caring father to his son, Charlie Childs. He was a hardworking man. Before becoming the "Produce Man" at Hubben's and then Benedetto's, Roy spent years in the air conditioning industry. He was very talented and skillful and could build a car or house with his hands. Over the years, Roy cared for many different types of animals, in recent years, with the influx of egg prices, he enjoyed sharing his chicken and quail eggs with everybody. In his spare time, Roy enjoyed going to the camp. He was a courageous warrior that defeated cancer about 20 years ago. Roy leaves behind his true pride and joy, his son, Charles; his mother, Mary; godmother, Mildred; younger brothers, Tim (Amy), Daren, and Phillip Daigle (Debbie Courville); younger sisters, Debra Jackson (Wayne) and Theresa; goddaughter, Christine Roppolo; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Roy was preceded in death by his father Roy Sr.; grandparents, Leonce and Emma Daigle and Charles Barcell and Mae T. May; godfather, Russell John Daigle; godson, Jerrit Daigle; niece, Kailyn Daigle; cousins, Elmer Ellestad and Susie Cowart. Visitation will be held at Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 5 to 9pm and will resume on Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 9am until Rite of Christian Burial at 11am, conducted by Father Jerry Martin. Interment will follow at St. Elizabeth Church Cemetery, Paincourtville, LA. in the Theriot family tomb. Pallbearers will be Charlie Childs, Omarion "OJ' Jones, Anthony Justin "Baby J" Roppolo, Brandon "Bubba" Jeansonne, Tim, Daren, and Phillip, and Adrian Daigle.
