Baton Rouge, LA - Richard "Dick" Curry Thevenot, 92, a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, went home to be with his Savior on Monday, March 23, 2026. Dick is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Pat Thevenot; his children Trent and Mary Pat, and Greg and Joni Thevenot; his grandchildren John Paul and Bristen, Jacob and Erica, Ann Marie and Jake Salemi; and Mickey and Ashleigh, Jaclyn and Tyler Deville, Jonathan Nellis, and Joseph and Allison Thevenot; his five great-grandchildren; his siblings Beryl Ann Barnett, Marvin, Bruce, Steve, and Sharon Roth and many extended family members and friends - all who will deeply miss him.
Dick was preceded in death by his father Gern Peter Thevenot, his mother Mavis Bruce Thevenot, his brother Ronald Gern Thevenot, and his eldest son "Rick" Thevenot. Dick will be fondly remembered for his steadfast love, tender spirit, quick-witted humor, captivating stories, and passion for gardening. Although soft spoken, he had a presence that lit up a room and left a lasting impression on anyone he met. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. Baton Rouge, LA 70816. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Ken Spivey officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
