Zachary, LA - Ozelia Emily Blanco Neyland, lovingly known as "Keetsie" passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 23, 2026. She was 74 years old and a resident of Zachary. She was a former employee of PALA Interstate. Keetsie is now peacefully reunited with the absolute love of her life, her husband Jerry. The pair met when Keetsie was just 15 years old and were entirely inseparable from that moment on, sharing a beautiful 54 years of marriage. Following Jerry's passing on March 3, 2026, Keetsie's heart longed for him, and her family takes great comfort in knowing they are together once again, never to be apart. A graduate of Glen Oaks High School and a dedicated member of Zachary United Methodist Church, Keetsie lived a life rooted in faith and devotion. Her husband, children, and grandchildren were the absolute center of her universe; nothing in this world was more important to her than her family. Whether she was cheering loudly for her beloved New Orleans Saints on Sundays, creating beautiful pieces through her intricate cross-stitching, or spending her Friday nights thrilling to the dirt track racing at the Baton Rouge Raceway, she embraced life with enthusiasm and warmth. She is survived by her loving children, Gwen Savario and her husband Michael, and Tim Neyland; her daughter-in-law, Cherie Neyland; and her cherished grandchildren, Ethan Savario, Seth Savario, Brady Neyland, Sydney Neyland, and Guidry Neyland. She also leaves behind a wide circle of extended family, church members, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Neyland, and her parents, Adolphe and Evella Guidry Blanco. A celebration of Keetsie's life will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026, at Charlet Funeral Home in Zachary. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, with the memorial service following from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, officiated by Reverend, Doctor Angela Bulhof and Rev. Paul Downing. Burial will take place at 3:00 PM at Greenoaks Memorial Park in Baton Rouge.
