Prairieville, LA - Octavia Hebert Berry, age 96, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 2, 2025. A native of Arnaudville, Louisiana, she was a long time resident of Baton Rouge.

She retired from the business office at Baton Rouge General Medical Center after 35 years of service.

Octavia was devout Catholic and a long-time congregant of St Thomas More

Catholic Church where she served as a Lay Eucharistic Minister for many years.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Joseph Cecil

" JC" Berry, Jr., parents Alton (Altheon) and Agnes Bernard Hebert; brothers, Alton (Altheon), Jr., Dallas, Douglas, and Leopold Hebert; sisters, Grace Castille and June Ellen Sarvor.

She is survived by her three children; Michael Berry and wife, Donna, Ronald

Berry, and Lisa Wilbur and husband, Eddie; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-

Grandchildren; sister, LeeAnna DeJean and husband, Ronnie, and numerous

nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial will take place at Resthaven Cemetery following services.
