Baton Rouge, LA - Mary Lou Peltier passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026. She was born in Greenwood, LA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roger E. Hammett and Lillian Flournoy Hammett; husband, John S. Peltier Sr; son, David Peltier; and brother, Enoch. She is survived by her sons, John (Nicole), Mark (Pam), and Michael (Jackie); daughter-in law, Mien; 3 grandchildren; and 6 six great- grandchildren. She was an adventurous spirit, never had an unkind word, and never worried about the small stuff. She ran the Livingston Secretarial School for many years, retiring at age 70, then journeyed off to China to teach English for 2 years. She was a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church, where she also taught English as a second language. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Rabenhorst East Funeral Home Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 9:30am-10:30am with a service beginning at 10:30am. Burial will follow at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, St. Gabriel, LA, at 12PM.
