Baton Rouge, Louisiana - Marion McCaleb was born on August 23, 1942, and peacefully entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at the blessed age of 83. She was a devoted resident of Baton Rouge and a faithful servant of the Lord.

Marion leaves to cherish her precious memories: her children, David McCaleb Jr., Princess, Jon Derrick (Adrienne), and Jeannie (Gilbert) Bonnet; her loving sister, Carrie Mae (Henry) Johnson; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, and dear friends who will forever remember her kindness and love. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David N. McCaleb Sr.; two sons, Tyrone and Leonard; her parents; and her sisters and brothers and a cherished granddaughter, Alexis. Visitation will be held at New Galilee Baptist Church, 9185 Wilbur St., Baton Rouge, LA 70807, on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Southern Memorial Gardens, 3012 Blount Rd., Baton Rouge, LA. A repass will be held at Greater New Galilee Baptist Church following the burial.
