Sugar Land, TX - Mae Wade Babin, a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and more recently of Sugar Land, Texas, passed away on July 12, 2026, at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. L. Babin, Jr., and her parents, Bob and Laura Wade. She is survived by her sons, Dean (Michelle) Babin and Ricky (Tina) Babin; five grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. Mae enjoyed quilting, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She especially looked forward to weekend fish fries and the Bourré games that followed. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70815. Burial will follow with a brief graveside service at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA.
