Lynwood Romauld Ourso Jr. (Lynn) Obituary
Baton Rouge, LA - Lynwood (Lynn) Romauld Ourso, Jr. died following a sudden illness on August 4 at the age of 84. Lynn was a life-long resident of Baton Rouge who graduated from Catholic High School and LSU. He was a singer, song writer, record producer and guitar player who played his first professional gig when he was 15 years old. He played with a long list of bands in college and professionally, including the Greek Fountains, John Fred and the Playboys, Wayne Cochran and the C. C. Riders, the Louisiana Hayride Band, and many others. He also served as founding Executive Director of the Louisiana Music Commission and a marketing representative in the Louisiana Department of Economic Development.
Lynn is preceded in death by his parents, Lynwood, Sr. and Marguerite Pierce Ourso. He is survived by his wife, Sandy Thrasher Ourso, daughter, Caroline Elizabeth Ourso of New York City, and brother, Larry (Sherry) Ourso of Baton Rouge. A private Mass will be held at a later date.
