Wimberley, Texas - Dr. Lon Alexander Boucvalt, 78, passed away on March 5, 2026 in Wimberley, Texas. Lon was born on September 26, 1947 in New Orleans, Louisiana, the son of the late Roy Boucvalt and Audrey Alexander Boucvalt. He attended Lutcher High School and earned a bachelor's degree at LSU before graduating from LSU Medical School in New Orleans. After medical school, he served as General Medical Officer and Brigade Surgeon in the United States Army, Panama Canal Zone.

Lon later worked as an Emergency Room Physician in both Baton Rouge, LA and Las Vegas, NV and a Clinic Physician at LSU-BR before opening his private practice for Family and Industrial Medicine in Port Allen, Louisiana. "Doc B", as his patients called him, maintained a vibrant solo medical practice for 20+ years.

In his spare time, he loved fishing and boating in his beloved Grand Isle, LA where he regularly visited his mother at her camp on the bay to catch crabs and shrimp.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Gail Boucvalt White and Bonnie Boucvalt Tassin. He is survived by his wife Donna Boucvalt, sister Gay Boucvalt Sullivan (Mike) and brothers Dr. Roy Boucvalt and Chris Boucvalt (Gail), brothers-in-law Bob White and Maurice Tassin, along with many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
