Newport News, Virginia - Lisa Mains Robb, age 57, of Newport News, Virginia, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026, in Miami, Florida.

Lisa was born on April 1, 1969, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Elizabeth Huckabee Mains and Jimmy Lee Mains. She is survived by her spouse, Marvin Robb; her two children, Evelyn McAdoo and Hunter Lee McAdoo; Hunter's wife, Taylor Pels McAdoo; her mother, Elizabeth Miller; Elizabeth's spouse, Craig Miller; her sister, Lindsay Mains Wells; and Lindsay's children, Dawson and Phoebe Wells. She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Jimmy Lee Mains.

Lisa was deeply proud of her career as a nurse. She began her nursing education at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York, and completed her nursing degree at William Carey College in New Orleans, Louisiana. She later earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. Throughout her career, she served in OB/GYN, NICU, and oncology settings before finding her calling in mental health nursing. She worked as a charge nurse in an inpatient facility and concluded her career as a professor of mental health nursing.

When people spoke of Lisa, the word most often used was "kind." Family, friends, colleagues, and patients alike will remember her for her compassion, generosity, and unwavering kindness.

Lisa had a passion for travel and was fortunate to share many of her bucket-list adventures with Marvin. She also treasured visits with family, which were among the most important and meaningful parts of her life.

A private memorial service will be held for family and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hospice House of Williamsburg.
