I remember Leon and His Dad from the Gulf Station on Perkins Rd. Also Leon would visit Southdowns Lounge and was so friendly and liked by everyone. RIP Leon. Skipper Rawls , Orlando, FL

Leon was my first friend. I couldn't wait till he came home from school. We lived on Burgandy St. Leon being four years older, I looked up to him. Because of my father’s photographs, I remember playing in the newly dug out ditches on Burgandy. Leon would have been six years old then. Years later, when gasing up at Gulf station on Perkins, Leon would be out there checking our car filling it with gasoline cleaning the windshield and checking the air in the tires. His dad would be writing up the receipt. You can't get service like that anymore. My prayers go out to Leon and his family. I am saddened to read his obituary.

Plant a tree: How does it work

When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.

An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.

After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.

Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Tree Planting Timeline

Orders placed in:

January - May

Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.

June - December

Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
