Walker, LA - Kelly Johnson, age 68, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Monday, June 2, 2025. He was a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and a resident of Walker, Louisiana. Shortly after graduating High School, Kelly was accepted into LSU where he received his Bachelor's Degree. He later went on to work as an Appraiser in Residential Real Estate. Notably, Kelly was a U.S. Merchant Marine. He spent most of his time on the water whether it was fishing, sailing, traveling, or camping. Kelly loved going anywhere with a beach with his family. They made many memories throughout the years going to Destin and the Islands. Kelly was an extraordinary husband and father who will be forever loved and missed. Kelly is survived by his loving wife of 22 wonderful years, Kary "Lynn" Johnson; daughter, Sydney Watts and husband Adam; sister, Ann Johnson Mobley and husband Mark; brothers, Tim Dean Johnson and wife Lori, and Todd Robert Johnson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Kelly is preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Johnson "Bob"; mother, Velma Schipper Johnson; and grandparents, Ruth Baker Schipper, Herman John Schipper, Homer Floyd Johnson, and Golda Mae Johnson. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation at the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home 7738 Florida Blvd., Denham Springs, LA 70726, on Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. In honor of all things Kelly loved, please do not wear black.
