New London, Connecticut - Katherine Jackson Dodd, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on June 18, 2025, in New London, Connecticut. She was 82.


Born in 1943, in Clinton, Louisiana, Katherine was the tenth child of Felbert Jackson Sr. and Addie Muse-Jackson. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Beech Grove Baptist Church in Clinton. Katherine graduated from East High in 1961, where she was crowned Miss East High Homecoming Queen. In 1963, she moved to New London, Connecticut, and resided there until her passing.


Known for her kind heart and generosity, Katherine was a liberal giver to her nieces, nephews, siblings, and friends. She was preceded in death by her siblings Eula M. Jackson-Tate, Ella Mae Jackson, Roosevelt Jackson, Clement Jackson, Curtis Jackson, and Felbert Jackson Jr.


Katherine is survived by her sisters Fannie Jackson (Baton Rouge, Louisiana), Sadie Gray (Pascagoula, Mississippi), Eve Jackson (Saint Robert, Missouri), Lois Jackson (Baton Rouge, Louisiana), and Eddie Lee Jackson (Baton Rouge, Louisiana), along with a host of loving nieces and nephews.


Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Richardson Funeral Home of Clinton, 11816 Jackson Street, Post Office Box 868, Clinton, Louisiana 70722.


Funeral services will be held at Beech Grove Baptist Church, on Saturday July 12th at 11 AM CST.
