Baton Rouge, LA - Johnnie Lee Barnes (December 28, 1950 - April 25, 2026) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to the late John Bernard Barnes and Corrine Smith Washington. Johnnie honorably served in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam as an infantry machine gunner, earning multiple medals. Upon return from his Marine Corps Service married Shirley Williams Barnes and to this union two children were born - Jason

Edward Bernard Barnes and Jamie LeMay Barnes. Johnnie is survived by Son-Jason (Lauren) Barnes, Sr of Port Allen, LA.; Daughter-Jamie Barnes of Arlington, TX; Brother-Joe Spears of Baton Rouge, LA; Grandchildren- Jason Barnes, Jr., Abigail Barnes, Kynnard Brown, and Declan Johnson; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
