Baton Rouge, Louisiana - John Eldridge Wood passed away on Friday, May 23rd, 2025 at the age of 71. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. John never knew a stranger and brought joy and laughter to all that knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jacqueline Wood; his son, Brian Wood; his daughter, Lacey Miller and her husband Donnie; and his cherished grandchildren, Lily and Wesley Miller. He is also survived by his siblings, Barry Wood and his wife Nina, and Sandra Staub. He was preceded in death by his sister, Pamela Guidry, and his parents, Jesse and Augusta Wood.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30th at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. in Baton Rouge. Visitation begins at 9:00 a.m. followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. All who knew and loved John are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you donate to a charity of your choice or perform an act of kindness in John's memory.
