Baton Rouge, Louisiana - Jo Ann "Jody" Landry passed away peacefully at the age of 84 on Friday, April 25, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Jody was born in New Roads, Louisiana, and moved to Baton Rouge at a young age. She attended St. Gerard Majella Catholic School and graduated from Redemptorist High School in 1958. Jody completed two years of college at Louisiana State University. She was employed at Exxon Federal Credit Union for over 20 years, where she began as a teller and retired as the Chief Executive Officer.


Beyond her noteworthy career, Jody was a longtime parishioner of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Her devotion to her faith was also reflected in her outreach to the community as the Co-director of the Associates with the School Sisters of Notre Dame, where she dedicated herself to spreading the "good news" of Jesus Christ. She embodied the Corporal Works of Mercy in every aspect of her life.

In 2011, Jody was inducted into the Redemptorist High School Hall of Fame, which represented her professional accomplishments and well as her dedication to Christian service to the Catholic Church, the School Sisters of Notre Dame, and her community.


Her favorite pastimes included praying, helping others, cooking, and spending time with her family.


Jody was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 33 years, Leroy J. Landry; her parents, Leo and Christine Goudeau; her brother, Leo Dale Goudeau; her sister-in-law, Betty Goudeau; her great-grandson, William Bailey, III; and her stepdaughter, Debra Landry Diez.


She is survived by her two children, Cherie Campagna Bailey and her spouse, Bill, and Lynn Gregory Campagna Jr. and his spouse, Mary Beth; five grandchildren, Bill Bailey and his spouse, Tiffany, Christopher Bailey and his spouse, Meranda, Madeline Bailey, Ryan Campagna and his spouse, Holly, and Caroline Campagna; and four great-grandchildren, Harper Bailey, Brooks Bailey, Flora Bailey, and Daphne Campagna.


She is also survived by Leroy's children and grandchildren, whom she considered her own, Roy Landry and his spouse, LaDonna, and Todd Landry and his spouse, Shannon; her seven grandchildren, Jacob Diez and his spouse, Jessica, Amanda Diez and her spouse, Elvis, Josh Landry and his spouse, Sylvia, Christina Landry and her spouse, Tanner, Taylor Landry and his spouse, Caroline, Derek Landry and his spouse, Aimee, and Karlyn Landry; and her twelve great-grandchildren, Rebecca Diez, Landry Diez, Debra Grace Stewart, Ella Stewart, Blake Stewart, Sophia Landry, Isabelle Landry, Brayden Gutierrez, Gage Gutierrez, Drake Gutierrez, Julia Landry, and Priscilla Landry.


The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Lane in Baton Rouge from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., celebrated by Father Michael Miceli. Pallbearers include Bill Bailey, Christopher Bailey, Ryan Campagna, Jacob Diez, Josh Landry, Taylor Landry, and Derek Landry. The interment will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
