Denham Springs, LA - Janice Kahler Parrino, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home in Denham Springs on November 29, 2025. She was a native of Chadwick, Illinois, and a resident of Denham Springs. She was a retired supervisor for the Louisiana Department of Revenue. Janice honorably served her country as a member of the Women's Army Corps during the Korean War from 1954-1956. She took great pride in being part of the Louisiana Women's Veterans, and one of the highlights of her later years was participating in the 2018 Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. Janice loved to travel, cook and sew. Janice was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Denham Springs and enjoyed helping with the St. Joseph Altar each year. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. Baton Rouge, LA 70816 on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at Resthaven Funeral Home on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Father Matthew Graham. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Janice is survived by her sons, Anthony (Karen) Parrino and Nick (Leslie) Parrino III. Janice was a loving grandmother to Danielle (Giovanni) Estrada, Patrick Parrino, Angela (Micah) Thibodeaux, Kelley (Chase) Samford, Stephen (Vonda) Parrino, Alison (Patrick) McCowan, Nicholas Parrino IV, Adrianna (Kevin) Bowen, and Christine Leblanc. She was a proud great-grandmother to Maggie (Austin), Jonah, Kelsey (Daniel), Emma, Mary Elizabeth, Levi, Isaiah, Sophie, Sarah, Serena, Caroline, John-Patrick, Haylea (Rian), Mackenzie (Chandler), Deuce, Landyn, Leland, Elizabeth, Jesse, Nathan, Noah, Nathalie, John-Byron and Emilia Kate. She was also blessed with great-great-grandchildren: Noah, Ezra, Grace, Charleigh, Camille, and Kahler. She is survived by a brother, Merlyn, and sisters, Lois, Mavis, and Diana, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years Nicholas Jr.; her parents, Rufus and Clara Kahler; and her son, Stephen. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." — 2 Timothy 4:7. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a charity of your choice.
