The Pines Retirement Center of Baton Rouge14686 Old Hammond Hwy, Baton Rouge, La 70816 - Janice Marie Criss (Trail) passed away peacefully on Friday, June 19, 2026, at the age of 77. She was a 1965 graduate of Capitol High School. She studied Early Childhood Development at Southern University in Shreveport, Louisiana.

She is survived by Rodney Criss (Son), grandchildren: Rodney Johnson, Rodneka Dabney, Rodney Dabney, Raven Banks, Rashar Banks and other cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brothers, Otis Jerome Criss (Sandra) and Frank Morris Criss Jr. (Cynthina) her sister, Connie Criss Spencer (Leonard), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie Lee Antoine; her father, Frank Morris Criss Sr; her stepmother, Zerlee Criss; and her beloved grandchildren Deandre Jenkins and Japonika Bell.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The Greater New Galilee Baptist Church; 9185 Wilbur St, Baton Rouge, La 70807.
