Baton Rouge, LA - Jan Ray recently died in Baton Rouge. She was 95. She grew up in Georgetown, Texas and lived in Baton Rouge for many years. She retired from Louisiana State University after working as an Administrative Assistant for the School of Social Work. Jan is preceded in death by her mother Mabel, her father George, her husband Richard, and her son Kent. She is survived by her sons Carl and Alan, her three daughters-in-law Mary, Ann and Pam, along with her six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held July 11 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church on Goodwood Blvd. in Baton Rouge. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. She will be interred in the new St. Luke's Episcopal Church when it is completed later this year.
