Howard John Oubre Jr, born on July 3, 1936, a proud veteran of the United States Army, Paratrooper division and former Plaquemine City Councilman, Iberville parish council, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025. Surrounded by family and loved ones. Mr. Howard was survived by one brother, Shelton Oubre Sr., four sons: Howard John Oubre III, "Tick Jr.", Darrel Sr. (Roselyn), Derwin Sr., Kemp Sr. (Caronda). Preceded in death by wife, Gloriana Dunlap-Oubre and the son of the late John Howard Oubre Sr. and Emma Turner-Oubre. Howard was a lifelong resident of Plaquemine, LA and educated in the Iberville parish school system.His Christian journey on earth was spent as a faithful servant of Christ and a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
