Port Allen, Louisiana - Master Sergeant (Ret.) Harrell Andrew Brandon, Sr., age 80, of Port Allen, Louisiana, peacefully departed this life on Thursday, June 25, 2026. Born on June 3, 1946, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Harrell lived a life defined by perseverance, service, devotion, and quiet strength. He was proud of his military career and the opportunities he had to serve his country. He valued hard work, believed in helping others, and found joy in caring for his family. Those who knew him will remember a man who faced life with determination, loved in his own way, and left behind many lasting memories.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Loretta Hopkins Brandon; son, Andrew Brandon; daughter, Dorcas Brandon; stepdaughter, Lisa Brown (Jamal); brothers, Herman Brandon, Jr. (Cheryl) and Warren L. Brandon, Sr. (Gloria); grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life during a public viewing on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. A second viewing will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. The Brothers of Lambda Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. will conduct a memorial at 10:30 a.m. until the Celebration of Life Service commences at 11:00 a.m. at Hall Davis & Son Funeral Service, LLC, 9348 Scenic Highway, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70807. The service will be officiated by Pastor Charles L. Stewart, Jr. of New Jerusalem Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary, Louisiana.
