Opelousas, Louisiana - Ms. Gloria Rene Simmons

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lawtell, LA, for Ms. Gloria Rene Simmons, 84, who entered eternal rest, Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at her residence in Opelousas, LA.

Interment will be in Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery. Father Gregory Simien will officiate at the Mass of Christian burial.

Ms. Simmons is survived by two sisters, Delores B. Thomas and Mary A. Rideau both of Opelousas, LA; one aunt, Mrs. Victoria Green of Shreveport, LA; one niece, Ashley Ann - Renee Thomas of Opelousas, LA; one nephew, Darriel Rideau of Opelousas, LA and a host of extended family members and friends.

Ms. Simmons was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, cherished cousin, Lee Anna Harper; cherished uncle, Alan Jones and other relatives and friends.

Visiting hours will be observed from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Williams Funeral Home.
