Mrs. Glenda Cuny Landry Obituary
Baton Rouge, LA - Glenda Cuny Landry passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the age of 85. She was a native of Baton Rouge, and a long-time resident of Plaquemine, Louisiana. Glenda attended Baton Rouge High School and had a lifelong career in accounting and public service. While working at the Louisiana Department of Revenue, she met her husband-to-be Francis A. Landry, Jr. Glenda continued her public service at the Louisiana Real Estate Commission, from which she retired. Glenda was formerly a member of the Catholic Daughters and Garden Club in Plaquemine, LA. She was an avid reader and a cat lover. She was predeceased by her parents, Glenn "Gene" Cuny and Pearl Mitchener Cuny, her husband, Francis A. Landry, Jr., and her stepson, Francis Dean Landry. She is survived by her two daughters, Julia Landry Wascom (Andrew) and Joelle Landry McClelland (Cory), and two grandsons she loved with all her heart, Cade and Luke McClelland. In accordance with Glenda's wishes, there will be no formal funeral service or visitation. As Glenda was a devout Catholic her entire life, her daughters will request a Catholic mass intention for her. The family kindly requests that any memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which was an organization Glenda supported.
