Vacherie, LA - Geraldine "Dean" Becnel Dufresne, 77, a native and resident of Vacherie, Louisiana passed away on April 25, 2026.

A memorial visitation will be held in her honor on Monday, May 4th at Landry's Funeral Home, Thibodaux, LA from 9:30 am until the religious service at 11:00 am. The burial will follow in St. Philip Cemetery, Vacherie, Louisiana.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Errol Dufresne Sr.; children: Bernice Landry (Tony), Errol (Jeanine), Daniel (Hillary), Justin (Blair); siblings: Gerald Becnel, Jason Becnel; grandchildren: Brooke, Ariel, Brielle, Leah, Olivia, Aidan, Linkin.

Proceeded in death by Sidney Becnel, Sr., Girly Granier Becnel, Sidney Becnel, Jr.

We lovingly announce the passing of a devoted mother, grandmother, and wife. She cared deeply for others, found joy in expressing her love through the meals she prepared, enjoyed traveling, dancing and crafting, and her cherished Yorkies. Tulips were her favorite, a reflection of her gentle spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and love that will forever remain in our hearts.
