Atlanta, GA - Frances Louise DeVaull, 73, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2025. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on February 6, 1952, she was known for her radiant smile, sharp wit, and vibrant presence.

A proud graduate of Capital High School, Frances showcased her passion for performance as a majorette. She continued her journey at Southern University, becoming both a Dancing Doll and cheerleader. Later, she mentored young dancers at Clinton High School and Jackson High School, instilling in them her signature flair and dedication.

Beyond the field, Frances devoted over 30 years to healthcare as a Licensed Practical Nurse, offering care with warmth and humor. She actively participated in the Capital High Alumni Association, the Southern University Quarterback Club, and AARP. Spiritually grounded, she was a member of Living Faith Christian Center and reaffirmed her faith through baptism in 2020 after relocating to St. Louis, Missouri.

Frances is survived by her daughters, An'Cheyl Davis and Electra Lusk; grandchildren, Ke'Vonne Allen, Guy'Treyl Kent, and Tyu Scott; goddaughters, Terry Plain and Rosalyn DeVaull; siblings, Frank DeVaull Jr., Rita Johnson (Albert), Peggy Hatch, and Alma Lawson; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Gertrude DeVaull; brother, John Issac DeVaull; daughter, Vega Scott; and grandson, Tydus Scott.

A balloon release in her honor will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Living Faith Christian Center, 6375 Winbourne Ave, Baton Rouge, LA 70805. All are welcome to attend and celebrate her life.
