Plaquemine, Louisiana - The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou are with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Saturday, June 6th before the sun began to set, Felicia transitioned from labor to reward.

Felicia Kaye Kelly, who was affectionately known as "Lisa," was born on January 15th, 1971 to the late Virgina Kelly and Esa Charles "Chip" Brown, Sr..

At an early age Felicia was baptized at Second Baptist Church by the late Rev. Samuel Singelton Jr. Lisa was a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant who spent 20 years caring for others with love, compassion, and a heart for helping people. A proud 1990 Plaquemine High School graduate, Felicia lived life fully and on her own terms. If she liked you, she would let you know she liked you. If she didn't, you knew it! She loved good food, enjoyed trying new things, dancing, laughing, and making memories with the people she loved most. Whether it was a family gathering, music playing, or simply spending time together, Felicia enjoyed life in the moment.

More than anything, Felicia deeply loved her family. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart and brought her endless joy. She adored spending time with them, loving on them, making them smile, and creating memories they will carry forever. Being their grandmother was one of her greatest joys, and the love she poured into them could be felt in very hug, conversation and moment shared.

Lisa leaves a legacy of sweet memories to her daughter La'Nigia (Darrell) Kelly. Three grandchildren: La'Mar Hammond, Londyn Kelly, and Da'Niyah Jones. Fives brother: Carlton DeWayne (Montoya) Kelly, Carlton (Kedra) Vessel, Esa Brown, Jr., John Jefferson, and Jonathan Shaw. Three sisters: Dinez Webster, Angelica Brown, and Sonya Brown. Three nieces: Janay Webster, Tenoa Williams, and Essence Brown. Three nephews: Dustin Vessel, Charles Brown, III, and Devin Jefferson. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Felicia was preceded in death by her mother Virginia Kelly, Lillie Bea and Huey P. Vessel.

Public viewing will be held Friday, June 12th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Roscoe Mortuary, 58635 Meriam Street, Plaquemine, Louisiana 70764.

Celebration of Life services will be held Saturday, June 13th at 1:00 p.m. at Plymouth Rock Baptist Church, 58830 Iron Farm Road, Plaquemine, Louisiana 70764. Viewing will continue Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
