Baton Rouge, La. - Eddie Marshall Jones, a native of Liberty, Ms. and resident of Baton Rouge, La. passed away Saturday July 4, 2026 at his residence.
Mr. Eddie was 92, born October 12, 1933 in Liberty, Ms. to Edgar Earl Jones and Essie Mae Causey Jones. He was a proud Army veteran and a retiree of Gulf States Utilities. He was member of Bethel Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his son Eddie Dwayne, his parents Edgar Earl and Essie Mae Jones, and his sister Oma Gordon.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Hilda Smith Jones, and his son Roger and his life partner Brian Guidry. He also leaves behind his fur babies Tilly and Deany.
Visitation will be Friday July 10, 2026 at Brown Funeral Home in Liberty, Ms. from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:30 A.M. at the funeral home. Officiated by Rev. Dusty Rhodes. Graveside services with Military Honors will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
