Entered into eternal rest on March 18, 2026. She was a 96-year old native of St.Francisville, Louisiana and a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Viewing at Afton Villa Baptist Church, Rev. Lionel Davis, pastor, on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 9:00 am until Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 am officiated by Rev. Melissa Dunn-Davis; interment at church cemetery. Survivors include her children, Andrew Davis, Sr. and Mary Davis Winfield; grandchildren, Zachary D. Winfield, Jr. Michelle Wilson(Roscoe), Andrew Davis, Jr.; four great grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends; preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Lee Winfred; parents, James L and Sarah Smith Davis; siblings, Matthews and Shirley Davis and Fannie D. Holmes; grandson, Kenny Ray Davis; nieces, Margaret Vessel, Delores Hampton, and Gwendolyn H. Adams; nephew, Jerry Holmes, Sr.; and bonus son McMorris A. Whitfield.
