Baton Rouge, Louisiana - Diana Maggio Winston passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026, at the age of 82. She was born December 14, 1943, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Charles Vincent Maggio and Ruby Sicard Maggio. She was a 1961 graduate of Baton Rouge High School and received her business certificate from Draughon Business College. She is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 61 years, Jack Winston, Jr.; her brother, Nickie Maggio and his wife Carolyn; her brothers-in-law, Roy "Moonie" Winston and Butch Stegall; and her sister-in-law, Betty Winston. Diana is survived by her loving children Jacqueline Venable (Ronnie), Jeffrey Winston (Connie), Jason Winston (Johnnie), and Jill Cowart (Tyson); eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Michael Maggio (Emma); as well as numerous other family and friends. Her faith and dedication to the need for the establishment of Most Blessed Sacrament led her and Jack to assist in the fundraising for the church and the school, even before the foundations were poured. Diana retired after years of dedicated service as an insurance adjustor with Louisiana Workers' Compensation Corporation. She enjoyed recreating meals that she learned while watching the Food Network and various cooking channels. When Diana wasn't in the kitchen or watching Mass being celebrated on television, you could find her spinning her luck at the penny slots in Baton Rouge casinos. Visitation will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Monday, July 27, 2026, beginning at 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue at Most Blessed Sacrament, 15615 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM. Honoring Diana as pallbearers will be Jarred Southerland, Brandon Winston, Kyle Winston, Dylan Winston, Tyson Cowart, Collin Cowart, Charles Naquin and Hunter Ballard, along with Scout Breaux serving as an honorary pallbearer.
