Batchelor, La - Debra Girouard Ewing, a native of Broussard, La and resident of Batchelor, La, passed away on Sunday October 12, 2025 at 9:52 pm at Pointe Coupee General Hospital at the age of 71. She was a retired Physical Therapy Assistant and Paralegal. Debra is survived by her husband of 37 years, Ted Ewing; son, Kevin John Ewing; sister, Karen Travesos and brother, Johnny Girouard. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmo Girouard and Maxine Williams Girouard; father in law and mother in law, Dalton and Beverly Ewing; brother, Ronnie Girouard and brother-in-law, Hillary Travesos. A visitation will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Innis on Friday, October 17, 2025 from 10 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. The inurnment will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery in Innis. A special thanks to Pointe Coupee General Hospital and Hospice and Lakeview Manor Nursing Home.
