Plaquemine, LA - David "D.D." Dupont passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025, at his home in Plaquemine, at the age of 76. He was native and lifelong resident of Plaquemine. D.D. was a self-employed carpenter and teacher of industrial arts in Baker and Work Force in Baton Rouge. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Per his wishes, DD was cremated, and a graveside service will be held at Grace Memorial Park in Plaquemine, on Friday, August 1st, at 10 a.m., conducted by Rev. Martin Lawrence. D.D. is survived by his wife 41 years, Ruthie Lively Dupont; siblings, Caecilia "Teal" Wintz and husband Dan, Angela Watts and husband Mike, Andrea Robinson and husband Terrell, Adrian Dupont and wife Marsha; and numerous nieces and nephews. D.D. was preceded in death by his daughter, Trista Parro; parents, Joseph Jr. and Angela Hannon Dupont; siblings, Kathleen Fulton and Joseph "Pat" Dupont, III.
