Baton Rouge, Louisiana - Darren Duane Bourgeois, born on November 13, 1962, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at the age of 62, surrounded by his loving family. He was a dedicated employee at Dow Chemical for 44 years. He was a member at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Darren always cherished time spent camping with his wife, family & friends, creating memories around the campfire. His family considers him the most caring & loving man. Darren was also an avid LSU fan and spent many years playing the drums in Les Bouscru band with his brothers.

Darren is survived by his wife of 18 years, who was the love of his life, Rebecca Bourgeois; parents Ronald and Mary Messina Bourgeois; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ernest and Pandora Dubois; sons, Justin and Darren Michael; daughters, Rachel Bourgeois, Lacie Madere (Gordon) and Tanner Alise; brothers, Ronnie (Sharon), Jeff (Tina) and Danny (Daren); grandchildren, Brendon (girlfriend Sierra) and Breanna Bourgeois; Parker, Mason and Annabelle Madere; brother-in-law, Todd Peterson and sister-in-law, Jada; Godchildren, Trey and Jeffrey Bourgeois; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his stepson, Dylan Alise, who Darren loved as his own son; sister-in-law, Patricia Bourgeois, and nephew, Patrick Bourgeois.

We would like to thank all our family and friends for their prayers, love and generosity.

The family would also like to give a special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Baton Rouge General, Our Lady of the Lake and Baylor St. Luke heart hospital in Houston, Texas.

A memorial service will be held on November 16, 2025 at Serenity Events Center from 12-5PM ; family and friends are welcome.

A private service will be held at Resthaven Garden of Memory.
