Baker, LA - Daniel Louis Hebert, 88 years old, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 14, 2026. He entered this world on March 27, 1937, in Krotz Springs, LA. Daniel honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was a life-long Catholic who loved Jesus with his whole heart. He was known for his deep devotion to his family and his faith. He had a career as a police officer for the City of Baton Rouge. He also was a member of St Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church, Central Louisiana, where he was very involved in "The Men's Club".


Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Dorothy Fontenot Hebert; son, Deacon Ronald Hebert (Sandra); daughters, Denise Hebert and Shelly Hebert Burns (Henry); 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.


Daniel is preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Ardoin Hebert; father, Daniel Hebert; and son, Mark Allen Hebert.


Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The visitation will continue at Baker Funeral Home, on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Deacon Ronald Hebert. The graveside service with military honors and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
