Mrs Christine Belasky Enright Obituary

Baton Rouge, LA - Christine Belasky Enright, a cherished wife, devoted mother, adored grandmother, and treasured friend, entered into eternal rest at her home on September 23, 2025, at the age of 78. After a courageous three-year journey with Alzheimer's disease, Chris passed peacefully, surrounded by the love that defined her life.

Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Chris grew up with a generous spirit and a joyful heart. She graduated from Istrouma High School in 1965 and later attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana for a brief time. With a keen eye for detail and a steady hand, she began her career as a draftsman for the Louisiana Highway Department.

In 1969, Chris married the love of her life, Fred M. Enright, beginning a partnership marked by deep devotion and adventure. Their journey together carried them to Stillwater, Oklahoma, where Fred pursued his veterinary degree, and later to Davis, California, where he completed his PhD. Through each move, Chris created a warm home, gathered lifelong friends, and embraced every new chapter with grace and kindness.

Chris lived a life rich with purpose, centered on family, friendship, and service. She gave generously of her time to the veterinary community, actively LVMA and AVMA Auxiliaries as a board member. She poured her energy and talents by service as a board member of the LSU Campus Club and Trianon of Baton Rouge, where her bright presence was deeply felt. Above all, Chris delighted in the simple joys of life—hosting gatherings, sharing laughter with friends, and cherishing every moment with her family.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Theodore "Skee" Belasky and Ritchie Lucille Davis Belasky, as well as her niece, Jennifer Elizabeth Belasky. Chris leaves behind a legacy of love through her devoted husband of 56 years, Dr. Frederick Martin Enright; her son, Richmond Martin, and his wife, Julie Harlerson of Savannah, GA; her daughter, Anna Mary Stuckey, and her husband, Jonathan. Her greatest joys were her precious grandchildren— Mary Lucille and James Davis Stuckey, and Remi Martin and Annabel Lee Enright—who brought light to her later years. She is also survived by her brother, Theodore "Teddy" James Belasky, and his wife, Jackie Delatte Belasky of Lafayette, along with many beloved relatives and friends.

A celebration of Chris' beautiful life will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 11 am at University United Methodist Church, 3350 Dalrymple Dr. Following the service, the family will welcome relatives and friends to a reception at the home of the Stuckeys.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly invites memorial contributions in Chris' name to, The Arc of Baton Rouge, the Arthritis Foundation, or a charity of your choice.

Chris' family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Baton Rouge Hospice for their extraordinary care and compassion, and to her dedicated physicians, Dr. Lara Falcon and Dr. Angele Bourg, who supported her with wisdom and kindness.
