St. Francisville, LA - Charles Wiley Wilson passed away peacefully on Friday, April 3, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. A native of Delhi, LA, he was born on March 13, 1941 to Ozeale "Mudge" Hall and Charles Wesley "Paw-Paw Pete" Wilson. Raised in a hard-working farming family, he inherited a legacy of resilience and a deep, protective devotion to his family. Following high school, he continued his education at Northeast Louisiana State College, Monroe, where he earned his B.S. in Agriculture, and went on to complete his M.S. in Agriculture from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge. He embarked on a career as a County Extension Agent that spanned over 35 years, serving in East Carroll, Tensas, and more than 25 years in West Feliciana Parish. Charles was a forestry expert, skilled woodworker (known for his unique walking sticks), a dedicated youth baseball coach, and loyal LSU fan. He was a 50-year Mason of Feliciana Lodge #31. An avid outdoorsman, he found great joy in hunting, fishing, and gardening, and was known for sharing his bounty particularly his tomatoes with others. He loved to cook, especially while sharing a beer with his friends at Possum Corner hunting club. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Judith Caffery Wilson; his children, Angela Wade (Ted), Charles Frank Wilson (Lynn), Susan Causey, Teresa Andrews (Charles); his eleven grandchildren, Lesleigh Silvey (Ryan), Lauren Pike (Josh), Landon Wade (Amanda), Olivia Wilson, Alex Causey (Kourtney), Andy Causey (Carol), Caroline Causey (Bryce), Claire Norrell (Marcus), Chas Andrews, Cameron Andrews, Cate Andrews; his eleven great-grandchildren, Ryleigh and Sadee Silvey, Georgia and Whitley Pike, Charlie and Tate Wade, Evelyn and Caffery Causey, Chloe Causey, Bruin and Elouise Norrell; and his devoted sisters, Virginia Dare Barron and Shirley Ann Dean. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ozeale Wilson; and his sisters, Geraldine "Dane" Sistrunk, Julia Faye Reynolds, and Susie Leona Estrada. Visitation will be at First Baptist Church St. Francisville on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 from 9am until service at 11am conducted by Dr. Joel Williams. Burial will be in Star Hill Cemetery.
