Carol Maillet Curley Obituary

Baton Rouge, Louisiana - Carol Maillet Curley, a native of Marksville, La, and long-time resident of Baton Rouge, La, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025, at the age of 84. She loved reading, handwork, needlepoint, baking, volunteering at St. Jude's, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Carol is survived by her siblings, Gilbert "Pappy" Maillet, Sandra Mahdavi (Abbas), and Janet Regard; 7 nieces, and 2 nephews; and Trudy Bassett (Jeff), her special daughter from her late husband's blended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Bell Curley; parents, Gilbert and Corinne Bordelon Maillet; brother, Gail J. Maillet; brother-in-law, Jules Regard; and sister-in-law, Joy Maillet. Visitation will be from 9:00am to 11:00am on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church located at 9150 Highland Rd, Baton Rouge, La 70810. The Memorial Mass will begin at 11:00am, with burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, located at 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, La 70816. A reception will follow the burial at Resthaven Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, or a charity of your choice.
