Jackson, Louisiana - Betty, born on February 3, 1952, was the cherished first child of King and Sylvia Davis of East Feliciana Parish. Her deep faith guided her throughout her life, starting from her early baptism and continuing until her final moments on earth.


Betty Davis-King departed this world on March 19, 2026, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center, surrounded by her beloved family, exactly as she would have wished.


Betty leaves to cherish many loving and unforgettable memories: A loving, devoted husband, Charles Earl King; a loving son Adrian (Karen) King, of Lafayette, La.; three devoted daughters, Towanda (Ronald)Taylor and Keashu King of Jackson, La. and Ashley (Terry) Armstrong of Denham Springs, La.; two grandsons, Charleston (Tarrah) Taylor of Baton Rouge, La.; John Charles King of Dallas, Tx.; four granddaughters, Peyton King of Lafayette, La.; Adrienne King of Jackson, La., whom she helped to rear; Ashlynn Taylor of Shreveport, La. and Jacelyn Armstrong of Denham Springs, La.; one great-granddaughter; Chloe Taylor; two sisters, Gladys (Johnny Ray) Dixon and Sylvia Davis-Dixon of Jackson La.; three brothers; Ned (Idella) Davis of Clinton, La.; Ali Abdul Hakim/Emmit Ray Davis (Amina Muhammad) of Baton Rouge, La.; Abraham Davis of Jackson, La.; seven sisters-in-law, Betty Matthews and Edna Richardson of Zachary, La.; Gloria King and Ruby King of Jackson, La.; Betty Davis of Baker, Louisiana;, Doretha Davis and Vinnie Davis of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; three brothers-in-law, Richard (Patricia) King of Jackson La., Robert (Catherine) King of Slaughter, La., and Sidney (Stephanie) King of Zachary, La.; a godson, Kenny (Reon) Sanders of Gonzales, La.; a goddaughter, Tayla Reese Hollins of Jackson La.; four generations of nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and dear friends.


Viewing and services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at The East Feliciana STEAM Academy in Clinton, Louisiana.
