Kennett, MO - Amile Gross deGeneres, former long time resident of Clinton, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2025. He was 82 years old and was a former employee of James River Corporation. Memorial visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home in Zachary on Monday Jan. 12, 2026 from 2pm until 5pm. Memorial service will begin at 4pm.

He is survived by his 2 children, Tim deGeneres and wife, Lelia and Amy deGeneres and Bennie Rimes. Sister-in-law, Kathy deGeneres. 5 grandchildren, Kalyn Metcalfe and husband, Troy, Beaux Tanner, Kailey Tanner and husband, Josh, Lane deGeneres and Dalton deGeneres. 4 great grandchildren, Tanner Metcalfe, Olson Metcalfe, Jennings Metcalfe and Ajax Delaughter. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Olevia deGeneres and his brothers, Lloyd and Leonard deGeneres, Jr. Amile was a 1963 graduated of Clinton High School.
