Baton Rouge, La. - Alice Marie Jones Ford, affectionately known as "Mama Alice," departed this life peacefully on Thursday, March 19, 2026. A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she was born on May 25, 1949, to the late Albert and Dorothy Jones, and her life became a testament to faith, love, and unwavering strength.

Alice was a devoted sister, cherished by her siblings Patricia Moore (Marvin), Cynthia Lenior, Debra Dagan (Don), Larry Jones, and Sharon Carrol (Dwayne). She was preceded in death by James Jones, Albert Jones, Jerome Jones, Mona Faye Jones, and Connie Jean Jones, whose memories she held dear.

A woman of diligence and purpose, Alice dedicated 30 years of service to Bull South before retiring. Her commitment to excellence began early—she was a proud graduate of Scotlandville High School, Class of 1967, and later earned her bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from Southern University.

Above all, Alice's greatest pride was her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her two sons, Anthony Raymond and Brian Keith Jones, and her adored grandchildren: Trevan Jones, Sydnei Alexander, Anthony Jones Jr and Riann Alice Jones.

Her warmth extended beyond her immediate family, embracing a vast circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever cherish her laughter, wisdom, and generous spirit.

Mama Alice's life was a living prayer—her kindness a quiet force, her presence a sanctuary. Though she has left our sight, her love remains woven into every life she touched.

Services will be held Saturday, March 28th, 2026, at 11am at Little Rock Baptist Church
