White Castle, LA - Alfred Charles Chatman, Jr., age 78, a native of Modest and a resident of White Castle, La., passed away peacefully at home on October 3, 2025. He is survived by wife, Jacqueline J. Chatman, sisters and brothers, children and grandchildren. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who was loved by many. Alfred will be remembered for his great spirit, faith and love for everyone. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, October 10 at Demby & Son Funeral Home and services will be Saturday, October 11 with public viewing from 9 a.m. followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at Second Mt. Olive Baptist Church at 3064 Mount Olive Church Rd., Donaldsonville, La. 70346.
