Adriane W. Tullier Obituary

Baton Rouge, Louisiana - Adriane W. Tullier passed away in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the age of 85. She was born on February 15, 1941, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Eldon and Alice Winchester.

After graduating from Mundelein College in Chicago, Adriane was a dedicated teacher for 38 years in both public and Catholic schools. Not only was she committed to education, but she had a special place in her heart for children that came to her facing struggles at home, at times going beyond the classroom to offer guidance and care. Her compassion for children was also displayed by her volunteer service for three months with the Peace Corp in Brazil and by her two-year service with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) in New Orleans. As a devout Catholic, Adriane supported parish life at St. Joseph's Cathedral in Baton Rouge, helping with after mass gatherings and caring for the alter linens used in liturgical celebrations. At home, Adriane loved a good book, following her favorite TV dramas and watching sports - especially Catholic High and Brother Martin events. More than anything, she cherished her role as a grandmother and took great pride in spending time with her grandchildren. Adriane is preceded in death by her parents, Eldon Francis and Alice Mary Anne (Young) Winchester. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Gerald Eugene Tullier; children, Damien Martin Tullier (Jamie Cashio Tullier), Marcel Pierre Tullier (Angela Nicoll Tullier), and Jeanne Tullier Takyi (Mawe Takyi); grandchildren, Tyler Tullier, Maggie Tullier, Julien Tullier, Yve Tullier, Luc Tullier, Philip Takyi, and Vivienne Takyi; and brother, James Eldon Winchester. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, at Resthaven Funeral Home, located at 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70816. Visitation will continue Friday, May 8, 2026, at St. Joseph Cathedral, located at 401 Main St., Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70802, starting at 9:00 AM, with Funeral Mass to begin at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. The family would like to give special thanks to Candy Bailey, Brenda Daniel, and Wanda Brooks.
